Dayford Designs, specialists in High Technology PCB design, has had it’s annual Visula PCB design contract with Nokia Telecommunications renewed for a fourth year.
From their Borehamwood office Dayford primarily support Nokia’s R & D activities in Cambridge but also assist sites in Helsinki and Dusseldorf in co-operation with the PCB Layout group in Finland.
Designs are typically 6-8 layer dense double sided SMT with BGA’s, high signal speeds and rigid production constraints
Nokia currently have around 22% of the British Cellular Telecom market and are the worlds biggest supplier of mobile phones.
Jean-Pierre Erbrech, Nokia PCB design co-ordinator says:
“We are very pleased with the service Dayford provides and a reliable, long term business relationship has been established. Time to market is critical to Nokia’s success and Dayford produce consistently good quality designs in tight timescales to help us to do that. I have no hesitation in recommending Dayford to our other Divisions when the need arises.”
Dayford PCB expertise includes flexi-rigid, micro-vias, blind/buries vias, RF, ECL, Power Supplies and Backplanes.
The company recently announced that it is working with DYCONEX to provide UK Defence/Avionics customers with microvia (HDI) design support – a technology that can lead to considerable improvement in circuit and system performance, thermal management and component density.
