'Expedition'PCB Design Team Expands

Dayford is pleased to announce the appointment of Alan Bull to the PCB design team. Alan comes with over 20 years experience in the industry having previously worked for Radstone Technology, where he was primarily responsible for the layout of PCBs for severe environment and military applications, using ‘Dazix’ and ‘Expedition’ ECAD tools.

Alan’s latest project, at Dayford, involves a 20 layer wireless system base station PCB that has 3200 components, 18000 component pads, 12000 connections and includes VF-BGAs (0.5mm pitch), PowerQUICC 1024 pin FC-BGAs, DDR2 SODIMMs, serial Rapid I/O and Gigabit Ethernet.
